All McConks inflatable SUP boards are light, stiff and durable, made from X woven drop stitch. The 2022 Go Free 9’8 has a denser deckpad belt, however, that adds yet more rigidity, and an innovative flush hard fin box that is as solid as a fin box in a rigid freeride board. And with that additional stiffness and reduced drag, the board planes (lifts from the fin, overtakes its bow wave and skims like a stone) more efficiently than before.
As a fully-fledged, planing freeride wing board, a hard rail release edge and fibreglass freeride fin wing sessions are guaranteed to be even more fun.
Remove that freeride fin to discover an accomplished and fun SUP board that works in whitewater river situations, delivers as a surf SUP and is surprisingly good in a straight line and where tidal waters may be in effect.
The footstraps are super strong velcro, so they lay flat when not in use.
To turn them into usable foostraps, you just need to open the velcro, make them into a hoop, and then add the neoprene surround. Bingo – comfy foostraps. To lay them flat, do the opposite.
For maximum comfort without footraps, leave the neoprene surrounds in the bag.
