As you probably know, at McConks, we’re all about making the most of the weather. And the same is definitely true with our friends at Lake 32. There’s no such thing as bad weather – just the wrong gear. As family McConks, we refill our mental health jar with time outdoors whenever and wherever we can – whether that be on the water, next to the water, or away from the water.
And we know that lots of you, our amazing customers, feel the same.
So we’re working with Lake 32 to organise a SUPtacular at a time of year that most people would think is insane!
ARE WE MAD?
Probably so. We don’t really know how many of you are as crazy as us to turn up to a SUP, foil and skatewheel event in winter, so this might be the one and only time we do this! But if you don’t try, you won’t find out!
Let’s start with the important stuff given we’re talking about cold water. So no matter how good the weather is (and it’s currently looking likely a lovely, sunny, dry day), there is still plenty of opportunity for getting cold!
We’ve got lots of fun activities planned – all for charity!
McConks marathon
Paddle 12 laps of the lap to get your half marathon badge . Do it as a relay team, or an individual. Wooden trophy badges for everyone who completes this. Entry is £5 per person for charity (1). Contact Lake32 directly for more details. Marathon starts at 11am and MUST BE PREBOOKED.
McConks demos
Every single board from the McConks range will be available to demo – even our very exclusive hard board range. Most of our 2022 range will be available to order immediately at a discount!
eFoil madness
Where else do you get to play with an eFoil for free? Free come and try 15 minute sessions, with guidance from McConks and hopefully from an experienced eFoil instructor. Suggested £15 donation to charity. Leave a comment below if you’re interested in demoing the eFoil.
SUP Yoga – FULLY BOOKED
The amazing Becky is going to be running a SUP Yoga session from 10.30am. Free, but suggested £5 donation to charity.

There’s going to be live music and a friendly atmosphere. We’re going to have our skatewheels available to demo, and you can just turn up to say hi and have a hot chocolate around a fire. And we’ll be available to give advice about available stock, and advance board purchases for 2022.
You can camp at the lake for £10 for the night on either Saturday or Sunday evening – contact Lake 32 directly to book. There is plenty of independent accommodation in nearby Cirencester and surrounding villages, Or there is a Premier Inn and Travelodge.
