Escape your cave on the Great Glen SUP Trail

This supported SUP Trip takes in the stunning views of Ben Nevis from Loch Lochy, the mystical and scenic Loch Oich and the humongous Loch Ness, which holds as much water as all the lakes and rivers in England and Wales combined. Due to the ever changeable nature of weather (winds) in the Glen, we provide a support vehicle that stays with us the whole time and helps us move around the Glen, keeping the wind on our back and the luggage off your board. This is definitely not a traditional style Great Glen trip starting at Fort William and finishing in Inverness. This is 4 days and 3 nights stand up paddling adventure in some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland.

Lake district SUP and yoga adventures with Happiest when outdoors

SUP the lakes

Three days of paddling in the stunning Lake District. Over the three days you will paddle around four to five hours a day in various weather conditions. Whilst day one will be planned by your coach, the following two days will be led by you. Your coach will guide you in planning a safe paddling trip and on the final day your group will confidently plan and lead the days paddling.

Yoga for paddlers, taught by an experienced paddler, for you, a paddler. Over the three days, there’ll be the opportunity to learn how to support your body. Prepare and warm the body for a paddle. How to move and stretch after a paddle. Less about philosophy, more about movement. No fancy yoga clothes needed. Mats can be loaned out if you don’t have one.

Kathy is also rather well known for her SUP Yoga classes. A combo of nature immersion, mindfulness, purposeful movement and a large dollop of play. If the conditions and timings are suitable, then a SUP yoga session on Ullswater can be included in the trip. One warning though… It’s rather addictive and can leave you with a huge beaming smile on your face, and laughter that echoes around the valleys.

River Severn Adventures with SUP Shropshire adventure guiding

Only got a day free but still want some adventure?

Why choose the McConks 128 Go Explore with Craig Jackson Shropshire Adventure Guiding. 2

As described by the host of The Joy of SUP Podcast Jo Moseley, this is a trip of wonder. You will launch from the historic market town of Bridgnorth travelling through the beautiful Shropshire countryside as we follow the famous Severn Valley Railway. Paddle in wonder as the steam trains chug by as we follow the flow of the beautiful river Severn. This trip will be for the best part of the day. You will spend approximately 5-6 hours on the river. Along the route we will stop for lunch at Otter island where you will be treated to a hot chocolate and flap jack from our Kelly Kettle. Your lunch spot is a location where the trains pass close by and on a good day we should spot an Otter or two. During the adventure we will give you an introduction into planning a river trip, how to read the water and paddle techniques to assist your journey. We will also cover the important kit to carry and wear for such a journey. Throughout the paddle you will be guided and coached to improve your ability on moving water. You will finish the journey in the little village of Arley where you will deflate the boards and jump on one of the famous steam trains for a magical journey back into Bridgnorth.

You’ll be perfectly safe in their safe hands – Craig is a firefighter and search and rescue volunteer as well as a WSA paddle board adventure guide.

Feasts and fires weekend

Join SUP Lass Caz ‘off grid’ in the heart of the Cheshire countryside for a different kind of paddle weekend, one packed with feasts, wild flowers and a wood fired hot tub. Located next to the world famous Llangollen Canal.

Where will you stay? There are offgrid land pods, bell tents and campervan options with access to a compost loo, shower and outdoor kitchen, all located within a private camping field adjacent to the canal.

What will you eat? The weekend will be fully catered. All of the food served up will be sourced locally and cooked over an open fire by adventure cooking expert and your host, Caz. Meals will all be made fresh in camp and will cater for a range of dietary requirements. You will be encouraged to be involved with the cooking process by helping to prepare and serve some of the meals.

Paddleboard adventures and masterclass will be on the Llangollen Canal and hosted by the amazing SUP lass.

Scotland – into the wild SUP expedition with Rapid Skills

This paddle is a true wilderness paddle. Your expedition will take you on a journey to the village of Inverie (home to the UK’s most remote pub). The only access to the village is via boat or a two day hike so you will feel truly off-grid. Due to the ‘wild’ nature of the trip, there will be plenty of wildlife to see en route, hopefully you will get the opportunity to see white tailed eagles, seals, otters and maybe even porpoises.

Into the wilds of Scotland

You will be paddling 10 to 20 km with boards fully loaded with expedition kit. On day 4 there is a small 2km hike through a passage carrying all your kit, which has steady incline and decline. This expedition is in a remote part of Scotland which means weather conditions can change very quickly. With this in mind please be prepared that you might have to paddle in windy/choppy conditions.
