The big day has landed (how quickly has it come around? It only feels like yesterday we were paddling in warm sunshine and toasty water!?!), so we just wanted to take a few minutes to wish everyone a very happy few days.
It’s been another tough year for many, and not everyone is able to be with loved ones this Christmas, for many different reasons. If this is you, we send our warmest wishes and virtual hugs. We would say our door is always open, but right now it’s firmly locked in the interests of everyone as we keep our Covid germs to ourselves for the next few days.
If you’re working, volunteering, on duty, or on standby this festive period, you’re a true hero, a legend. These terms are bandied around way too readily for anyone and anything. But in your case, it’s true, and they become more than just meaningless words!
And if you are with loved ones, enjoy. Christmas really is about connection and family, so make the most of the time. Everything else is just trimmings on the side. If the last 18 months has told us anything, it is that every second is precious.
If you’re one of our customers or partners, thank you so much. We are nothing without the amazing support you give us. We’re so proud of the McConks SUP Community, and everything that you’ve achieved this year. Whether that be welcoming a new paddler onto the water for the first time to experience the escape from life and restoration that SUP brings, through to fighting on front line of medical emergencies. We’re not going to call out individuals because we would invariably offend someone by missing them out. But there are so many amazing human beings in our McConks community that do so much for others, and you’re all amazing.
