Bideford, however, is unique in that it has quite a centralised nucleus of SUP routes and locations. And all with a diverse amount of amenities close to hand.
Bideford itself is an old North Devon harbour town with all the trappings. Instow and Appledore occupy either side of the Torridge Estuary and have their own appeal. Westward Ho! is the main surf spot round here. Whilst Abbotsham Cliffs and onwards to Hartland Point is a rugged, remote and rocky coastline that feels a world away from everyday life.
