This board is for those people who like to do their own thing, who like to create their own stories rather than being part of someone else’s. Who seek out their own hidden beaches and coves, to get close to nature, to escape. Who want to paddlesurf, and who want to take kids or pets with them.

And if you and your passengers and kit weigh less than 120kg, then this is the board for you.

McConks are paddlers too, and we’ve designed the perfect all-round board based on our experience! But we didn’t just use our experience. We’ve also spoken to lots of paddlers to really understand what makes a perfect allround iSUP and used this to set new standards for our touring iSUP boards.

We’ve redefined lightweight touring inflatable paddle boards with our new Enhanced Drop Stitch technology. This uses the latest fusion polymer technology to reduce the weight of the paddleboard compared to competitors, but still provide a solid rigid platform for comfortable long distance paddling. To put this into perspective, this board packs a massive 220l volume, so will happily carry a load of 120kg, and yet weighs less than 10kg. For beginners we recommend a maximum regular weight of 100kg (14.1 stone). But if you know what you’re doing, then load it all the way up to 170kg!

Front storage and lashing points on the paddleboard allow you to take all you need for a day trip, or allow you to attach a SUP seat up front for younger passengers.

With the extra thickness, width and volume, this inflatable SUP board happily eats up the miles even with a kid on board.

The shape has been developed and refined to give optimum all round use:

•   The sleek tapered lines on the rail give excellent glide, tracking and speed when standing in the neutral position and paddling in a straight line
•   The pintail shape gives better performance in surf than round or square tailed inflatable SUP boards
•   The 2 1 FCS in set up allows you to adjust the bite and control of your inflatable SUP to your environment.  Real fins are a game changer for iSUP performance.  Better tracking, better glide and better performance in waves.  It amazes us that anyone still uses fixed rubber fins when the alternative is so much better!

The click fit side bite fin boxes use the Fugawa system, which allows you to use both the click fit fittings of the supplied fins, or standard FCS fins.

Which board is right for you?

This size guide will help you decide what the smallest board you should consider given your weight and experience level.  but there is no maximum.  It all depends on what type of paddling you want to do.  For further help deciding what size board is right for the type of water you’ll be paddling in, check out this article

Inflation aids

Connect to a compressor | Valve adaptor

This little tool allows you to connect your inflatable paddleboard to a shrader (car tyre) type pump.  Please note that most car tyre pumps are not designed to provide enough volume to inflate a SUP.  Therefore using your car tyre inflator could damage the pump.  And the use of a very high volume compressor could damage your SUP board – so be careful!

Inflating with ease | Double action or Triple action pump

Our HP2 double action pump does the job in about 8 minutes.   But it’s a back breaking workout. So why not upgrade to the HP6 double chamber triple action pump.  This pump makes your pre-paddle routine a doddle, inflating an all round board to 18 PSI in less than 5 minutes, without breaking your back. Upgrade for only £50 extra.

Inflating the cheat’s way | Electric eCheat pump

If you want something else to do the hard work for you, look no further than our eCheat pump.  This pump connects to the 12v socket, or the car battery terminals, and will inflate to 20PSI in about 15-20 minutes without you flexing a single muscle.  Perfect for those who don’t want a full workout off the water before starting your on the water one!  £80 when purchased with a SUP package.

You’re not what you wear, but…

Looking good without costing the planet | Casual SUPwear

We’ve got a large range of organic and sustainable t-shirts and hoodies.  From bright and colourful to stylish and subtle, every garment is 100% organic or recycled, printed to order using a small UK company, and delivered within 10 days, but often as quick as 3 days.  Kids, ladies and unisex available

Protect the seas and your body | Rash vests

Not just a rash vest, but one made from recycled plastic waste.  Here’s what a happy customer had to say…

“It is very comfy. Easily the comfiest one I’ve had. Better than my current Billabong one. I wasn’t expecting it to be long sleeved. If I’d have been looking to buy another one, I’d have gone for short sleeve. But now I’ve tried your long sleeve one on, I’m sold on it. In the hot weather this saturday at the Torbay air show, it was lovely and cooling on and stopped me getting burned when wearing it on its own with shorts. When I went for a swim, I put my wetsuit top on over the top of it and it kept me nice and warm. When I took the wetsuit top off, your rash vest dried pretty quickly in the sun.”

No snags | river fin

Shallow rivers are a drag (literally), particularly for those riders with fixed fins.  Luckily, McConks don’t do fixed fins, and a river fin pack allows you to use shorter fins for shallower waters.

Harder, straighter, faster | Race fins

If you want better tracking, then these race fins will improve your tracking and your speed through the water. With a weed shedding profile they will also significantly reduce drag in weedy waters.

Have fun, be safe | SUP safety

It goes without saying you should nearly always use a leash. If you’re on flat water, then a coiled leash (supplied as standard most of our boards) is your perfect leash. If you want to surf SUP, then a straight leash is advised to reduce the risk of recoil.

Quick release belts

If you paddle flowing water (moderate or fast flowing rivers or tidal rivers), you should always use a quick release safety belt. Without a QR belt, there is a risk that you could be pinned down by the current with your board one side of an object, and you the other. And this nearly always results in death.

We recommend two quick release belts. The HF SUP buddy is a no frills QR belt with manual quick release, and emergency resistance release. So even if you can’t manually release the belt, it will release under enough stress.  The next step up HF Synergy is a premium piece of kit that fully complies with British Canoeing’s guidance on SUP Safety on whitewater.  It is comfortably padded, has a much cleaner emergency release that has a much reduced risk of entanglement and entrapment, and allows for the attachment of a Restube PFD and a throwline.   The belts have an added advantage of keeping the leash out from under your feet, making step back turns much less of a tangle.

Eye protection

When you’re paddling you need shades that protect your eyes against reflected blue light, and that are polarised. Most eyewear manufacturers neglect the blue wavelength protection as it is not specified in international standards.  All of our eyewear gives additional blue spectrum protection,  our mirror blue lenses provide the greatest protection for paddling.   With frames hand made from sustainable materials, and made to float, our shades protect your wallet, the environment, and your eyes.

Gear protection

Keeping you gear safe on the water is an important element of SUP safety.  What good is your mobile phone if it’s at the bottom of the sea?  Our dry bags keep your gear dry, and have inflatable external bladders to ensure they float. And they’re made from recycled plastic waste

Schools, clubs or companies

We work with a number of charities, schools, clubs and companies providing bespoke or standard McConks kit.  To give you a flavour of the kinds of companies that are turning to McConks because of our value and quality, we are an approved supplier to the Princes Trust, Brigantes, a number of councils including Essex Council, Walsall Council, Carmathenshire Council and Beyond Boundaries East Lothian amongst others.  Many instructors use our gear as part of their BCU paddlesports leader courses and recommend our gear to their customers (see our facebook profile and GoInspire initiative to find out more).

After many hours of searching and hiring various makes of boards we settled on two 10’6 McConks GoAnywhere boards. We even hired a McConks to test before we purchased. Firstly Andy and the service are second to none and the board, paddle and all the bits are outstanding. In the weeks since we took delivery we’ve been on the sea at Abersoch, flat and rough water, Bala lake and soon off to Barmouth. The whole expereince from the bags, pumping (keeping me fit) and riding the boards has been excellent. The kids are growing in confidence and teaching their old man techniques and style. Brilliant product and a company that deserves to do well. Only problem is my 4 year old wants his own board now!

One of the best boards I’ve used. There’s a nice teardrop shape and great features. It’s clearly been well thought out in the design stages. The bag provided is one of the best I’ve seen – plenty of storge space and ventilation – which I think is often overlooked with sup packages.
The boats inflates nicely, tracks well on the water and having the choice of different sized fins (optional extras) really opens up different areas of exploration. As all
3 fins are removable it makes transporting several boards on a roof rack etc really easy as they all stack together.
Highly (and regularly) recommended as an all rounder board…

I’m not overly experienced at paddle boarding yet but I have been bitten by the bug.
Having hired a RED PADDLE board early in the summer I decided I had to have a board of my own. I bought a couple of cheap boards off an internet auction site and as the whole family were enjoying using them, when I came into a bit of money recently I decided to treat myself to a more quality board.
Whilst doing research the name McConks kept popping up for build quality, design and performance.
I decided to go for the Go Anywhere 10’6 and I’m delighted that I did.
The actual board seems well made and the pump, bag and paddle are quality products.
I’ve only owned the board a couple of weeks, have used it twice, it’s easy to pump up to 18psi with the pump supplied, I’ve not felt the need to go beyond that yet, it’s very stable on the water even in the windy and choppy autumn sea conditions I’ve used it in, it tracks well and I easily got some speed up.
To be honest the board is far more capable than I am as a paddler. Fingers crossed my ability will improve to push the board nearer it’s boundaries.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending this board and company.

Steve – thanks for your comment. We have no doubt that you’re better than you think you are! If you can manage the choppy autumn sea, then you’re up there in the top 20%!

After much research I found McConks on line and between Andy and Bob of EightZeroEight Sup,(demo centre at Manvers Waterfront Boat Club in South Yorkshire), I chose the McConks 10’6 Go Anywhere. I wanted an all round iSUP for lake and calmer sea paddling. I had been windsurfing for many years and I liked the feel of the 10’6. Not the iSUP for the heavier novice (I’m around 76kg/12stones) so talk to Andy he will give you plenty of advice also take a demo if you can.

I’m now out on my 10’6 twice a week and have taken it to the south coast (Swanage/Studland) on a weeks holiday, I’m pretty sure I have covered the costs of the iSUP in savings on hire charges alone!

The service and enthusiasm from Andy and the team was great, delivery was quick and the iSUP quality looks second to none.

  6. Leah (verified owner)

Great board, practically indestructible and incredibly stable for new paddlers.

  7. Tim Lawes (verified owner)

Very versatile board – light and easy to manoeuvre – very high quality materials.

  8. Rick (verified owner)

I have had my board over a year now, and it’s been pretty faultless.
I found it forgiving in the sea, and though it took a few outings to get used to paddling in surf (my main interest), I found it very agile for its size on the waves and took it out in head-height surf in Spain without too much drama. ‘go anywhere’ is a good name for it!
