Frustrations with SUP deckpads – what are they?

SUP deckpads can be an acquired taste, yet most boards (inflatable and hard boards) come with them. Whilst the stand up paddle board you chose itself may be your perfect paddling partner the accompanying deckpad could induce a lukewarm response. Or perhaps you haven’t even given it much thought, instead just taking what you get.

But here’s your chance to vent (if you like) and provide some feedback. If deckpads didn’t exist, but you were thinking about inventing such a thing, what would be your main points of focus? What would you absolutely most definitely want from a deckpack and what would you be happy to get shot of?
